Role
Jacquard
Senior Product Designer

Jacquard undertook a company-wide rebranding to modernise its identity and better align with evolving market expectations. While the brand transformation focused on strategic and visual shifts, the platform itself needed a full redesign to embody the new identity and significantly improve usability.
As a Senior Product Designer, I led the platform redesign alongside another Senior Designer, ensuring that the user experience evolved cohesively with the brand while remaining intuitive for existing users.

Collaboration
Partnered with engineers to ensure technical feasibility and seamless implementation.
Engineering: Partnered closely with engineers to ensure technical feasibility and a seamless handoff and implementation.
Branding: Worked directly with MultiAdaptor and Jacquard’s internal branding team to embed the new identity into the product experience.
Product Management: Aligned user needs with business goals through close collaboration with PMs, the Tech Lead, and the CTO.
Cross-functional: Held frequent workshops and syncs to maintain consistency across product, brand, and engineering.

Key Challenges
Successfully launched the rebranded Jacquard platform within the rebranding timeline.
Translating a broad brand strategy into a functional, user-friendly product experience.
Balancing innovation with user familiarity to minimise disruption.
Working within tight rebrand timelines while coordinating multiple teams.
Future-proofing the platform with a robust, flexible design system.

As a Senior Product Designer, my primary responsibility was leading the rebranding of the Jacquard platform, ensuring consistency with the company-wide rebrand. I worked closely with another Senior Product Designer to:
Redesign the platform’s UI to align with new brand guidelines.
Improve user experience without disrupting established workflows.
Develop scalable design components to future-proof the platform.
Collaborate with engineers to ensure smooth implementation.
Ensure alignment with MultiAdaptor, the branding agency conducting branding workshops.

Research
To inform design decisions, I conducted:
User research to understand expectations and identify pain points in the existing platform.
Competitive analysis to benchmark against industry trends.
Stakeholder interviews to align business objectives with user needs.
Gather requirements from PM’s, Tech Lead and CTO

Evaluated existing UI components and identified areas where new elements needed to be built to align with the design system.
Created wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma to explore different design directions.
Developed a design system to ensure consistency across all touch points.
Refined typography, colour schemes, and UI elements to match the new brand identity.
Conducted usability testing sessions to gather feedback and iterate on designs.

High Fidelity Designs
Created wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma to explore different design directions.
Used the new design system components together to create final platform designs that reflected the new Jacquard brand.
Created any new components to replace a few that didn’t fully align with the new branding guidelines and feel.
Conducted usability testing sessions to gather feedback and iterate on designs.

This 12 month initiative highlighted the power of iterative design, deep cross-functional collaboration, and aligning product evolution tightly with brand vision. It strengthened Jacquard’s market position and set a new standard for design maturity within the company.
